Britney Spears “Work Bitch!” (featuring Azealia Banks) [Premiere]
“Work Bitch!” (commonly “Werk Bitch“) is a song recorded by Pop princess, the legendary Miss Britney Spears. The track co-written by herself in collaboration with William Adams, Anthony Preston, Otto Jettman, and Ruth-Anne Cunningham is confirmed as the lead single taken from her upcoming eighth studio album, “Britney Jean“, that’s scheduled for release on digital retailers on December 3, 2013 via Jive and Sony Music Entertainment.
After working on the soundtrack of “The Smurfs 2” with the song “Ooh La La”, the singer planned to launch her new single on 17 September, according the countdown started in her official site britneyspears.com with the claim “All Eyes On Me“. The single was scheduled to premiere worldwide on Monday, Sept 16th at 6pm ET. Unfortunetly, the song leaked in full on September 15, 2013, one day before it was due for release on iHeartRadio. Finally, it was premiered later the same day on the radio and was brought forward its release on iTunes.
Britney recorded the music video on 7, 8, 9, and 10 September in Malibu (California) and it was directed by Ben Mor (who directed “Scream & Shout” video). The video was premiered on Tuesday October 1st on The CW and VEVO. The official artwork for the single was unveiled on Britney’s social networks on September 12.
The song is definitely a club anthem. Britney still exploding convincing sounds, based on electronic, trance music, and obviously auto-tune. With a distorted voice very influenced by the producer will.i.am. The song could be considered a sequel to her smash hit “Scream & Shout“, but unfortunately, with even lower quality, and a much more dismal results.
Since “Hold It Against Me“, the first single from her latest album “Femme Fatale“, Britney has decided to show the world, a much more rave and repetitive sound with super generic EDM. The song will work (like a Bitch!) for being her. I think it has a better chance of success in the European market than in the United States. Britney is back and this is all that matters!
On October 11, Britney Spears released a new version of the track this time with the guest vocals of Harlem female rapper Azealia Banks. There is no confirmed date for release on iTunes. Britney does a new movement to try to lift the single on the Billboard Hot 100, due to continuous decline since its release.
Without doubt, another iconic video to be included in the posterity of pop music world. Is a perfect mix between Spice Girls’ “Say You’ll Be There”, Ciara’s “Got Me Good” and Swedish House Mafia’s “Greyhound” music videos. This time the legendary princess of pop comes back and dance, YES! she’s dancing, rather, she rubs her body against the wall, she moves her hair extensions, and finally, she moves her arms again and again. Well… this is the Britney that we missed. Sexy, so slutty… God, I’m horny-impressed! So… don’t waste your time and go call the police. go call the guh-va-nuh!
