After their dismissal from Geffen Records and Universal Music Canada. Girlicious girls have been trying to reform the group, the only original member Nichole Cordova has finally announced that her new girl band is a trio formed along Candice Craig and Alex Segal. But the trio no longer be called Girlicious, this time its new official name is Girls United.
They have prepared the first single and part of their recording debut with this new name that could see the light later this year after signing a record deal with Universal Records (USA) in 2012. However, it has not been confirmed yet exact release date.
While we wait for the first official single, the girls have started to generate hype before their imminent return to the music scene with the release of their debut buzz song called ‘The Mashup‘, which includes the instrumental basis of the latest single from Chris Brown ‘Loyal‘. The song was produced by Orange Factory Music.
This new buzz single will be released on iTunes later this month. In addition, the girls have confirmed they have recorded the music video. Their motto is clear: ‘Bringing back Girl Power!‘
The music video directed by Noel Maitland, Damon Sharpe and Jeremy Skaller was premiered in full on March 27, 2014.
