Katy Perry “Wide Awake” (Outasight Remix) [Song Premiere]

Wide Awake” is a song by American recording artist Katy Perry. The song was written by Perry, Bonnie McKee, Lukasz Gottwald, Max Martin, Henry Walker, and poduced by Dr. Luke and Cirkut. It is the eight overall single from the “Teenage Dream” era, and the second taken from the re-release of Perry’s third studio album, “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection” (2012). She has filmed of the 3D music video began on May 1, 2012 and ended on May 3, 2012.

The music video was directed by Tony T. Datis and Lance Drake and used as a tie-in promotion for her 2012 3D documentary-concert film, “Katy Perry: Part of Me” as part of her deal with Pepsi. It will premiere Tuesday June 19th, 2012 on MTV, but unfortunately it was leaked online one day before the official release.

The video closes the era of her second studio album “Teenage Dream“, the singer was presented showing off the video recording of her first single “California Gurlz” (2010). From there begins to dream as Katy has had to face different obstacles in her career for getting to the top, but with the support of her little friend Katheryn (herself as a child) she makes it clear that she remains the same person. Finally back to reality and is about to sing her second single “Teenage Dream” (2010) on stage in a concert on her California Dreams Tour.

The video shows perfectly what has been “Teenage Dream” for the artist. Without doubt, the consolidation of her career and for me, the pop album that has had the best marketing campaign in history. We say goodbye to this era, but we are waiting for the start of the next. Long life to Katy Cat.

Goodbye “Teenage Dream”, thank you very much for all these good times!

On June 27, American record producer, deejay, singer-songwiter Outasight (known for his song “Tonight Is The Night“) adds his own verse onto “Wide Awake” track.
