Samantha Jade “What You’ve Done to Me” (The X Factor Australia – Winner’s Video Premiere)
Samantha Jade Gibbs, commonly known as Samantha Jade, is an Australian singer-songwriter, model, actress, and dancer from Perth (Western Australia). She has written tracks for artists including JoJo and Ashley Tisdale and has collaborated with French deejay David Guetta in 2009. After beginning her recording career in 2006 with Epic Records and being dismissed in 2007, last night, the singer was proclaimed winner of the fourth edition of the talent show The X Factor Australia beating her opponent Jason Owen and getting a record deal with Jive / Sony Music Entertainment to launch her more than expected debut album for next year. The winner’s single entitled “What You’ve Done to Me” is a energetic pop track that was released on iTunes later the same night. It was written by Anthony Egizii, David Musumeci, Jörgen Elofsson and Tania Doko.
She has done an unstoppable growth in the program, from her magnificent first audition singing an excellent rendition of “Breakeven” by The Script and after a somewhat nervous first weeks she has managed to grow week after week and become clear winner of the contest.
