Shakira “La La La” (Brasil 2014) [FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony Performance]

While still immersed in promoting her second single ‘Empire‘, the Colombian singer Shakira and her team have ready the third official single .

As expected, the song ‘Dare (La La La)‘ is the next single from her tenth eponymous studio album ‘Shakira.‘, released on March 21 via RCA, Sony Latin and Roc Nation. The song produced by Cirkut, J2, Dr. Luke and Billboard and written by Shakira. Jay Singh, Lukasz Gottwald, Mathieu Jomphe-Lepine, Max Martin, Henry Walter, Raelene Arreguin, John Conte, Jr, is the second official single because ‘Empire‘ hasn’t been officially released as a single in several countries.

Sony Music Italy has confirmed the launch of ‘Dare (La La La)‘ in a press release on March 25th, the day when the song officially hits radio stations in that country. Thus, Shakira finally able to present the recorded video in Lisbon in 2012 and take advantage to launch different versions of the song as a single in Spain and Latin America.

In addition, the Colombian pop singer has released a new version of the song, this time in Spanish but the lyrics adapted for the World Cup. The so-called ‘Brazil 2014‘ version, but sung entirely in Spanish. The song which was co-written by Universal Music Publishing Group songwriters J2 and Pheenix has been selected as an official song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The FIFA World Cup, one of the world’s most popular international sporting events, will be held in Brazil this summer. The song has also been selected to soundtrack the new Activia worldwide commercial.

After two years waiting, the official music video was premiered on VEVO on May 7th. The singer premiered an alternate Brasil 2014 music video with the collaboration of Activia to support World Food Programme. In the video appears Futbol Club Barcelona football players, in addition to his current partner and father of her son, Gerard Piqué and her son Milan. The new version was premiered on May 22nd.

The new video was accused of plagiarism because is exactly in so many parts to Woodkid’s music video for his single ‘Iron‘, released in 2011.
