Alma “Requiem” (Eurovision Song Contest Final Performance)

After getting a proper introduction with “La chute est lente” back in June, French emerging singer-songwriter Alexandra Maquet, known as Alma, has finaly returned with the awaited follow-up.

The next official single is called “Requiem“, and it’s a gloriously piano-driven radio ready piece with a joyful chorus infused with some gypsy-flavoured pop synths.

The song was written by Nazim Khaled, who is also responsible behind the production along We Are I.V. “Requiem” was launched on digital retailers and streaming servies on January 13th via Warner Music Group.

Besides, the singer is currently working on her full length debut, which is expected to be released sometime this year. The official music video, which was directed by Christian Volckman, was premiered on February 9th.

Alma and “Requiem” will represent France on this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Ukraine and as she is part of the big five, she will perform directly in the final on May 13th.
