Demi Lovato “Cool For the Summer” (featuring Tove Lo) [FLZ’s Jingle Ball Performance]

Lovatics rejoy! It’s finally real. Demi Lovato is ready to impact the music world with her highly-awaited new single called “Cool For the Summer“.

The song is confirmed as the first taste of her upcoming fifth studio album “Confident“, which was released on October 16th year via Republic Records. The new single was officially released on digital retailers on July 1st.

“Cool for the Summer” was written by Lovato with the collaboration of Max Martin, Ali Payami, Alexander Erik Kronlund and Savan Kotecha, who also wrote her last hit “Really Don’t Care” featuring Cher Lloyd.

According Christopher K from 107.9 The End, the song doesn’t sound like anything she’s done before, and he has assured “Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s biggest hit of her career so far!”

The single was recorded on Max Martin’s production studios Wolf Cousins, created in Stockholm in 2013, where they were produced hits such as “First Love” by Jennifer Lopez and “Problem” by Ariana Grande.

“Cool For the Summer” marks the next step of her music career releasing for the first time a risky single including a very different sound, moving away from her classic pop-rock register.

This time, Lovato strikes back with a fresh and infectious dance pop anthem where she sings in a more subtle way, making at times, difficult to recognize her style. It seems a perfect Katy Perry meets Bonnie McKee production. Smells like a smash!

The anticipated music video directed by Hannah Lux Davis was officially premiered through Vevo on July 23rd.

Cuz you and I… we’re cool for the summer! ✌☀
