‘A.K.A.‘ (an acronym for Also Known As) is the upcoming eighth studio album by American recording artist Jennifer Lopez. It will be released on June 17, 2014 via Island Records.
The album comes preceded by the buzz singles ‘Live It Up‘, ‘Same Girl‘ and ‘Girls‘ plus the official single ‘I Luh Ya Papi’, and ‘First Love‘. She confirmed the album’s release date during a backstage’s interview before American Idol on March 13, 2014.
During a brunch in Nikita (Malibu) on April 25th, the singer confirmed that the second single from the album is the Max Martin-produced track ‘First Love‘. It was released on iTunes on May 1st. During the brunch, she also confirmed / played some new tracks. She said:
My topic has always been love. Love in a fairy take kind of way. Praying and wishing for that. After all these years, I’ve learned that love is something than what I thought it was. It’s a stronger Jennifer. Just more grown now
The album includes a song written by Sia and another written by Chris Brown entitled ‘Emotions‘. She confirmed upcoming shake-up the club smash track ‘Big Booty‘, produced by Diplo and with the guest vocals of Pitbull, another collaboration with Rick Ross called ‘No Worries‘, other with Nas entitled ‘Touble‘, plus powerful ballad called ‘Never Satisfied‘ and a Latin-flavored guitar ballad ‘Let It Be Me‘.
On May 5th, Lopez called Q94 – Richmond’s #1 Hit Music Station and confirmed duet with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. This will be the JLo’s first duet with a female artist throughout her career. Get that hype, baby!
