The gaming world is an entirely different world from the rest of us. Well, of course, not literally. However, video games became one of the biggest industries in the world and have created an enormous pop subculture among different people – children and adults alike. Gaming is a legitimate profession, a lucrative one at that. 

For the last five years, the Game Awards has been awarding the best mobile and online games across the spectrum – from AAA titles to esports and indies. This year, the annual awards night was held in Los Angeles on December 13, 2019, at 9:30 AM GMT +8. 

Like with other awards nights, there may have been those who have been predicted to win, there were winners which sent shock waves to fans and gamers around the world. One of the biggest surprises is the win of Devil May Cry 5 over Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for the best action game.
