Ruth Lorenzo “Planeta Azul” | “Planeta Azul” (Reto UNICEF Canal Sur Performance)

“Planeta Azul” (English: “Blue World“) is the debut studio album by Spanish singer-songwriter and former The X Factor UK contestant Ruth Lorenzo. It was released on October 27, 2014 via Roster Music.

It comes preceded by the lead single and Eurovision 2014 entry “Dancing In the Rain“. About the album she said:

It’s an album full of stories, it connotes a songwriter sound but with a very international production, without being too influenced by American style. I went to Sweden and met a producer that makes JPop and Kpop, an incredible mind. So, there will be several different music styles included

The singer plans to release the second official single this fall to promote the release of the album. For now we can enjoy a promotional video entitled “Buscando el Planeta Azul” directed by Lorenzo with Daniel Valls Halling. Still no confirmed tracklist.

The second official single is the track “Gigantes“ (English: “Giants“), scheduled to be released on October 7th alongside the pre-order of the album.

The track “Renuncio” (English: “Renounce“) was released as countdown single on iTunes on Tuesday October 21st. The same day she also debuted the lyric video of the album’s title track “Planeta Azul“.

The singer released a special edition of the album in October 16th with new unreleased tracks in English, and some re-worked tracks from the original version of the album.

The first single is called “99“ and it was released on August 28th.

Along the pre-order of the re-release of the album on iTunes, the singer unveiled as instant grat the new version of the song “Inevitable” with the collaboration of Xuso Jones on October 2nd.

“Echo” was released as instant grat along the pre-order on iTunes on October 9th.
