Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and Lil Nas X just made Grammy history

The 2020 Grammy Awards nomination has just been announced Wednesday, and the best thing about it is that someone just made history. Billie Eilis has just made Grammy history after becoming the youngest artist to be nominated in all four major categories, Recording Academy proclaimed.

Eilish, 17, has been nominated in the Album of the Year category for her genre-bending and critically acclaimed debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go.” The teen idol has since amassed more than 15 billion aggregate streams across all platforms like iTunes, Spotify, and Youtube is also nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories for her No. 1 hit song “Bad Guy.”

All in all, Eilish gathered a total of six nods for next year’s awards, tying up with “Old Town Road” hitmaker, Lil Nas X, who also had six nominations.

At the age of 17, the teen pop icon acclaimed for her rebellious music and art style has achieved so much in her career since she started making music. She carted a string of hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and is supported by more than 39 million followers on the popular social media platform, Instagram.

Aside from selling out three headlining tours in a matter of minutes, Billie Eilish’s debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go” bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 313,000 equivalent album units – computed by aggregating album sales, song downloads, and streams.

But the 2020 Grammy nomination did not just put Billi Eilish in the spotlight as the Record Academy also recognized 31-year-old rapper and instrumentalist Lizzo’s contribution to the music industry with the most nominations. Lizzo has been nominated a total of eight nods, including her album “Cuz I Love You,” record and song “Truth Hurts” of the year.
