Carly Rae Jepsen “I Really Like You” (El Hormiguero Performance)

The awaited comeback to the music scene of “Call My Maybe” hitmaker Carly Rae Jepsen is here.

The Canadian singer-songwriter impacted radio with her anticipated new single “I Really Like You“, first taste of her upcoming third studio album “E·MO·TION“, scheduled to be released in 24 June 2015 via Interscope Records.

The new single was released on digital retailers on 2 March 2015. Her manager Scooter Braun confirmed the release on his recent interview with Billboard. He said:

Her new single is coming in March. I told her that she couldn’t come out with anything unless it was on the level of “Call Me Maybe.” And, now we have a new one that is on that level

“I Really Like You” was written by Jacob Kasher and Peter Svensson of The Cardigans. It’s and unpretentious pure pop gem from start to finish. Instant radio hit and a really, really, really perfect comeback. Catchy, easy-listening and fresh.

The Jepsen’s anthem reminds a lot of Taylor Swift’s new pop side and the single it’s a watered down and lovely version of her “New Romantics“.

The song is being used in ads for the new season of “Newlyweds: The First Year“.

The official video directed by Peter Glanz was filmed in mid-February and it was premiered via BravoTV and Vevo on 7 March 2015 starring Tom Hanks and a cameo from Justin Bieber.

About the video she said:

I wanted a video that made people laugh and smile and just feel joy! I really think we captured that and can’t wait to finally be able to share it with my fans

An alternate viral music video was premiered on 14 April 2015 starring Ariana Grande, Kendall Jenner, Rixton, CL, Lance Bass, David Foster, Frankie Grande, Matthew Espinosa, Bryshere Gray, Kimberly Nicholem, Jeremy Scott, Ryan Butler and Alfredo Flores.

Are you really, really, really ready for this?
