Mega Man X DiVE seeks to engage fans with Weapons Design Competition and Derivative Work announcement

The creators of Mega Man X DiVE invites fans to explore their curiosity and showcase their talents in designing weapons for the game. Dubbed as the “Weapon Design Competition,” the event is a response from CAPCOM concerning the growing inquiry of customised playable weapons after the release of the special plot.

Fans who wish to participate can explore their imagination and design weapons such as Buster, Saber, and Gatling. Submissions are open starting November 6 until January 7, 2020. All designs could be submitted either by computer graphics or hand-drawn.

The Top 3 winners have the opportunity to get their weapon designs added to the game and receive awards prepared by CAPCOM.

One of the topics that circumvent on Mega Man X DiVE after its release was the interest in creating derivative works of Mega Man. The concern was the turning point for CAPCOM to explore new avenues to optimise and improve the Mega Man X DiVE. CAPCOM will push new topics monthly for inspiration.

Take a look at this November’s topic: RiCO.
